Together with professionals in the IT department, systems integrators test and authenticate software to determine suitability before integration into the company’s main system. Systems integrators also draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs and other documents related to systems integration, and develop work plans for team members.

Systems integration jobs are highly technical and require people with hands-on experience in dealing with clients. Systems integrators evaluate and recommend integration solutions based on client preferences. It is also the duty of systems integrators to provide clients with post-installation and integration support. This involves troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance of the system.
